Terms of Service
Last updated: February 15, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Netted Slack application and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Netted ("we," "us," or "our"). By installing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to enter into these Terms. If you install Netted on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization.
2. Account & Access
Access to Netted is granted through Slack's OAuth integration. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Slack account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
3. Service Description
Netted is a financial organization and education tool for freelancers. The Service provides:
- Expense and income tracking via Slack commands and document uploads.
- Tax-deduction categorization with IRS publication citations.
- Quarterly estimated tax calculations.
- Per-client profit and loss summaries.
- CPA-ready export packets.
- Optional bank sync via Plaid (Pro tier).
4. Not Tax Advice
Netted is not a tax advisor, accountant, or financial planner. The Service provides financial organization tools and educational references (e.g., IRS publication citations). You should consult a qualified CPA or tax professional for tax advice and filing decisions. We are not liable for any tax outcomes based on information provided by the Service.
5. Pricing & Billing
Free Tier
The free tier includes core features with usage limits as described on our pricing page. No payment information is required.
Pro Tier
The Pro tier is billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
Price Changes
We may change pricing with 30 days' notice via Slack DM. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
6. Your Data
You retain ownership of all financial data you submit to the Service. We are granted a limited license to process this data solely to provide the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.
- Submit fraudulent financial data to deceive third parties.
- Resell or redistribute the Service without written consent.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Netted and protected by copyright and trademark laws. The Netted name and logo are our trademarks. Your financial data remains yours.
9. Service Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Netted depends on Slack's platform, Plaid's API, and third-party infrastructure. We are not liable for downtime caused by these dependencies.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Netted's total liability for any claims arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or tax penalties.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Netted from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, with notice where practical. Upon termination, you may export your data within 30 days.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify active users via Slack DM at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
